New Vegas patch 1.4.0.525 It's been over two months since the release of Fallout: New Vegas, and now that Fallout 4 has its hands on Fallout 3, it seems like the game is starting to feel somewhat dated. Fortunately for those who still enjoy this game, Bethesda has released a new update which fixes multiple bugs and introduces several new features. The update also allows players to take screenshots of their game in-game for publishing to social media sites like Twitter or Instagram, through an accessibility option in the settings menu! Update 1. 4.0.525 is a patch that should be available on steam today and has already been available on PC since November 25, 2011. It should take about ten minutes to download and install the update, depending on gaming rig (computer). The New Vegas patch 1.4.0.525 is a rather large file, weighing in at 60 megabytes for PC users and 100 megabytes for Xbox 360 users; considering the amount of content in this game it is actually rather small considering what the download may have consisted of in previous patches or updates to the game. The update is available in the form of a patch and is completely free for all PC users (including Japanese and European users who may choose not to update). The new patch brings with it a slew of new features to the game that will allow players to customize their character and add more depth and character value in their playthrough, including: * DLC stretch goals: Upon reaching certain in-game milestones (such as levle 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600), the player can unlock additional content such as extra ranks for skills or weapon modifications. The Patch 1.4.0. 525 also allows the player to remove the negative effects of the Mojave Wasteland Intro Pack, which provides some teleportation features used in "Dead Money" DLC. * New combat challenges. Upon reaching certain in-game milestones (such as levle 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600), the player can unlock additional challenges that will add a degree of additional depth into the gameplay experience. These challenges can be completed in a similar fashion to that of previous Bethesda titles such as "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", in that they're incorporated into the regular gameplay experience and provide a degree of choice and consequences for participation in them. The challenges are as follows: * New weapon mods. In the same fashion as the previous update, Bethesda has continued to add new weapon mods to the game that will spread through vendors, traders and gun shops across the Mojave Wasteland. These mods can either be bought for a small price or just found out in the wasteland and picked up for free! The weapon mod additions vary from simple scopes and rifle attachments to advanced laser scopes and advanced railgun modifications. In conjunction with all these new features, Bethesda also made sure to tweak some of the quests from from previous updates as well as fix a number of bugs. The patch 1.4.0. cfa1e77820
